It's January 5th and I'm still on vacation.  I took a 3 week vacation until the 12th.  So what did I do on my vacation?  I went to Osaka for 5 days and then went on a one day snowboarding trip to Hiroshima.  That was fun.

The first place I went to in Osaka was Harborland.  They have a small amusement park and a shopping plaza.  It wasn't bad.  It was crowded with people and the wait for the ferriswheel was about 2 hours!  That's crazy!  I went with Saki and we had a good time.

The next place I went to was the Aquarium in Osaka.  I don't know where exactly it is but it was nice.  They had a bunch of Chirstmas lights and again a huge ferriswheel.  I don't know what's up with the Japanese and ferriswheels.  Maybe it's just another place for them to make out and try to get it on before they make a round.

There was a cool place in Namba though.  I went and made my own takoyaki.  Takoyaki is those balls with pieces of octopussy in them.  Good stuff.  This me making my own.

Then after my trip home.  I went snowboarding.  I didn't bring my camera with me while boarding because I thought that I might break it.

Tonight is Chikugo's Fire Festival.  SO I'll take pictures of that.

So I had put in the entry about failing my drivers test.  I go in the next day on Nov. 30th and guess what happens?!  I pass!  Maybe if I had wrote it on this blog thing earlier, I would've passed earlier.

now, all i need is a car.

Drivers License

So I decided to get a Japanese Drivers License. Why? I wanted to drive and I can go places where they're no trains or buses. Like the beach or mountains. But it's already my 4th time taking the test. The test givers are really strict about every little thing and have different opinions about what is right and wrong. So, so far the they failed me for not reversing after stoping past the line, turning faster than 20kph (don't know how much that is in mph), and some other stuff I decided not to remember.

I'm not a bad driver.........I promise!

It's November 23rd.

I'm in the office today. I went out to take the drivers license test again and I failed again. I failed because it hit the curb. OH NO!! I was amazed myself that I hit it. It could've been some kid but that's just extra bonus points. I guess Friday's another try, 3rd try.

I'm throwing a few parties here. I'm doing a thanksgiving party on Friday night. It's not a traditional thanksgiving with turkey and all but still, it's a party. Tomorrow night I'm having a Loco Moco party at my apartment. Only a selected few will come to that. I hope they like my cooking. I've been cooking a lot actually. I can now make Thai Curry, it's good too. Last night I made Tacos for dinner.

A couple of sunday's ago, I participated in the Annual Kinma Race Festival again in Joyo Town. Last year my team dressed as Hard Gay and did a funny performance. This year we were 80's rock artists, playing our air guitar. Unfortunately it didn't wow the judges enough to give us money. maybe next year.

But here's the links for those videos.
The boys team "Beefy Yankers": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qcmKbDd5s4
The girls team "Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH3nFqpG_w0&mode=related&search=

and to see what the actual race is like, check this out. It's the girls race but initially the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oi8GO5qdbc&mode=related&search=

The girls pulled a 200 kilo sled while the boys pulled double that, 400 kilo.

I'll probably put some pictures online later. It's getting cold.

hmm......nothing's really been happening here for me.  I've been doing the same thing week after week because school started.

So here I am at the office sitting around and doing nothing.  I should say that about the others in here today.  We're going on a trip to Asakura tonight for a trip with the office.

But here's the best part.  Someone is talking on Skype while working, at the office no less.

no shame really and getting annoyed.
